DLP - NBA Footage Transfers to DLP Storage

For any non-Prime employees working in the DLP facility, they are able to access Iconik through the computers provided by DLP. That allows anyone working in their building to jump on an internet connected computer and to log into Iconik, authenticate through Okta and access the platform.

For any Prime employees that are badged (Blue or Yellow Amazon badge) or have an amazon.com email address, this process works differently. Amazon employees have their Iconik access tied into Okta and also tied into Midway, which restricts their Iconik access to their Amazon work computer. They authenticate into Okta and then do a second layer of authentication through Midway using their ubikey. 

This can present workflow issues at DLP for these Amazon employees, since they can’t access Iconik on a computer that directly mounts the DLP storage. Previously, Amazon employees could use Iconik on a shared DLP computer and download files directly to storage, but that is no longer possible.

Since Amazon employees are limited to using their work computers to access Iconik, we have developed a workflow to account for the access issues noted above. 

Below is the process to follow when working on an Amazon laptop and you need to transfer NBA files from Iconik to DLP storage. 

Transfer a Single Asset or Sub-Clip

• In Iconik, select the item you want to send to the DLP storage
• Right-click and select the Transfer/Copy option from the menu
• Type 103 into the Destination box and select ISG103-NBA-DLP-FROM-ICONIK
• Turn off the toggle for Use Current Path, you are going to set a manual path on the DLP storage where you want these files to transfer
• In the Use Current Path box enter /ICONIK-DAILY-TRANSFERS/
• The file will land here Z:\NBA\iconik\NBA-FROM-ICONIK_ISG103\ICONIK-DAILY-TRANSFERS

Multiple Assets or Collection

• In Iconik, select the items or Collection you want to send to the DLP storage
• Right-click and select the Transfer/Copy option from the menu
• Type 103 into the Destination box and select ISG103-NBA-DLP-FROM-ICONIK
• Turn off the toggle for Use Current Path, you are going to set a manual path on the DLP storage where you want these files to transfer
• Toggle the slider button for Keep Collections Structure to On (should default to on)
• Toggle the slider for Keep Parent Coillections to Off (should default to on)
• In the Use Current Path box enter /ICONIK-DAILY-TRANSFERS/

The file will land here Z:\NBA\iconik\NBA-FROM-ICONIK_ISG103\ICONIK-DAILY-TRANSFERS
