We receive a range of NFL footage during the season, including Game Dirty Broadcasts of all NFL games, Melts from every NFL game, plus NFL Films ground footage and The Week in Review.
For TNF games airing on Prime, we have some additional deliverables we receive from our truck. This includes the Game Broadcast Dirty and Clean, PVZ, numerous Alt Feeds, Camera ISOs, Pregame Show, Halftime Show, Postgame Show and Melts
Deliverables for NFL Games airing on Prime:
- TNF Game Feed - Dirty, Clean, PVZ, Net Returns, ISO Cams, Spanish - Starting with the 2025 season, we will be moving into a new ingest workflow with the ability to record these feeds directly in the Culver City facility. These feeds will be ingested in real-time using our Telestream Light Speed ingest servers. As files are being recorded live, we will have the ability to edit those growing files in Adobe Premiere for any highlights being produced. Once the ingests have completed, all feeds will be accessible in Iconik.
- Pregame, Halftime, Postgame Show - We will be recording Dirty, Clean and Net Return versions of all our shoulder programming for TNF. These feeds will be ingested in real-time using our Telestream Light Speed ingest servers and available in Iconik. All this programming will get an audio transcription, which is available to search or review in Iconik.
- Dirty & Clean Feeds - All these feeds were previously provided to us by NBC, as they transferred these game broadcasts to us on Mondays. Going forward, we are planning to record these directly in our broadcast facility in Telestream Light Speed on Sundays, making this content immediately available.
- Melts - The melts for all the non-Prime games are delivered to us directly from NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN and NFL Network. These are delivered as individual clips per play (approximately 500-800 clips per game and typically available in Iconik on Mondays and Tuesdays. All melt clips get the NGS metadata added to them upon ingest, so 100% of this footage is searchable in Iconik using metadata filtering. Every melt clip is processed through an AI Summarization step that creates a play-by-play of that clip based on the descriptive metadata available from the API. This greatly enhances the searchability of these clips in Iconik.
- NFL Films Ground Reels - We receive Ground Film for every NFL game played during the season. This content is delivered to us from Films in an automated workflow, typically Monday mornings for the Sunday games. None of the footage from NFL Films Ground Reels has time-of-day timecode, so we are currently unable to add the NGS metadata to this footage when it’s ingested into Iconik. Films provides these as individual files but also sends us multiple stitched proxies with timecode window-burn which assists with searching across the large volume of clips.
- NFL Films Week in Review - This produced show is delivered to us each week, typically available on Wednesday mornings. There is no log available for this show, but we are running an audio transcription on each Week in Review, which is available to search or review in Iconik. - Any clips that are clipped (Alt-Z) at the truck are automatically transferred in real-time into Iconik. When these clips are ingested, we are automating the API call to NGS, so all the play-level metadata used to make this content searchable is added automatically upon ingest. We typically receive >1,000 melts clips per game for our TNF broadcast.
