Melt Volume & Expectations
A typical melt from Bird/Magic over the first 5 weeks of NBA has been in the 1200 clip range per game, with approximately a 2:1 ratio of real-speed clips to SSMO.
Melt Naming Conventions
Bird and Magic trucks are including Team Letter and Player number in all file names, followed by a brief
description and camera angle. Please follow this standard for labeling of all melt clips.

Camera Labels
Camera Label information should be included in the EVS sidecar .xml’s so we tag those clips in our MAM.
Ex: <XT_Camera_Label>2 Tite 4x</XT_Camera_Label>
Star Rating
The Star Rating is being included in the EVS sidecar .xml’s so we can tag those clips in our MAM. You do
not need to use a multi-star system to rate clips, as we are converting any starred clips to STARRED =
TRUE. You can star clips with any number (1-3) and that will be sufficient. A “Starred” clip should be
considered a great shot or unique look that is notable, so please don’t over-star clips.
Ex: <XT_Rating>3</XT_Rating>
