We are automating the creation of AI-generated summaries and key moments on all NASCAR drivers’ radio scanners in addition to providing the full transcript. Once the scanner audio has been transcribed, that transcript is then fed into a language model for summarization and placement of time-based metadata markers at key moments within that driver’s scanner audio in Iconik. You can then navigate directly to those interesting moments within the clip via the time-based metadata.
Searching for 2025 NASCAR Radio Scanner Audio
- In Iconik, open the Saved Search called 007-NASCAR Scanner Audio (it will default to Denny Hamlin as the driver)
- Open the Filters panel if it isn’t already displayed. Enter the name of the driver you are looking for in the PVLS Tags field. (in the demo Joey Logano)
- This will get you all the Joey Logano Radio Scanners from the season.
- From the Filters pane, enter the word or phrase you want from the scanner audio in the Transcription Text field, this will reduce the clips to only Logano clips where that word or phrase exists. (in the demo Hot Tires)
- To find the exact moment where the audio exists, double-click into the clip.
- Type “Hit Tire” into the Transcription search field and you will navigate to that exact frame in the scanner audio.
- In the Comments panel, you will find a complete summary of the scanner audio from that driver. Use that as an overall reference to radio communication during the race.
